Set on a slope in Kurtköy Sapanca, the studio guest house occupies the forest edge, with a creek running along its western and northern boundaries. The site opens toward Lake Sapanca, offering a landscape of woodland and water that shapes the experience of the house.

The 55 m² studio was designed as a guest house. It adopts low-impact construction methods that emphasize ecological performance and material honesty. The structure was built with a timber frame and insulated with compacted straw infill to ensure natural thermal performance.

Interior walls were covered with earthen plaster applied over wooden laths, then finished with lime distemper paint, creating a warm, breathable surface with a matte finish.

The bathroom walls and floor were covered with tadelakt, a traditional lime-based plaster that provides a water-resistant surface with a smooth, natural quality. For the exterior, lime plaster was chosen to protect against moisture while allowing the walls to remain vapor-permeable.
